Pune Airport is getting ready for a big change! On March 5 at 2:00 am, all flights will move to the brand new Integrated Terminal Building (NITB). This means the old terminal will close down.
The new terminal is much bigger, covering 52,000 square meters, and can handle up to 9 million passengers each year. This will make traveling more comfortable and enjoyable for everyone.
The NITB has many new features. It has 10 aerobridges for easy boarding, 34 check-in counters, and 25 self-check-in kiosks. This will help passengers check in faster. There are also 5 baggage carousels to help get your bags quickly when you arrive. With spacious lounges and many dining and shopping options, passengers will feel relaxed during their journey.
The new terminal is designed using ideas from Maharashtra's culture, showing beautiful art and architecture that connects to the region's history. This makes the airport feel special while being modern and efficient.
After the move, the old terminal will be taken down carefully to make space for future plans and improvements. This will happen in steps so that the airport can keep running smoothly.
The new terminal will use advanced technology to help manage flights better. The goal is to improve how passengers are processed and make everything run smoothly. Moving in the early morning will help avoid any delays for flights.
This upgrade is a great step for Pune's airport. With more space and better facilities, it will support more travelers and keep everyone happy. The new terminal will make Pune Airport an important place for flying in the region!
