Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital Investigated After Tragic Incident

After the sad death of a pregnant woman named Ishwari Bhise, who couldn’t pay a Rs 10 lakh deposit for treatment, Maharashtra’s Health Minister Prakash Abitkar has started a big investigation into Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital.

This hospital is being looked at to see if they follow the right rules for emergency care.

A special team led by Dr. Radhakishan Pawar, who’s the Deputy Director of Health, has been set up to check how well the hospital follows emergency care rules.

They want to find out if asking for such a large deposit goes against the Nursing Homes Act, which says hospitals can’t ask for money for emergency treatments.

The investigation includes talking to many doctors from different fields like pregnancy care, heart care, and general health.

They’ll share their views on what should have happened when Ishwari came to the hospital, especially since she needed urgent care because she was at high risk.

The team will prepare a report that will include findings from a special meeting about mothers’ health.

This report will be shared with state officials soon and will explain what happened to Ishwari and if the hospital did the right thing in this emergency.

This investigation isn’t just about Ishwari’s case; it also aims to create new rules for all hospitals in Maharashtra about how they should treat patients in emergencies and what they can ask for in terms of money.

The results of this investigation are very important.

They could lead to better rules that protect patients and ensure that everyone can get emergency care when they need it, no matter if they’ve money to pay right away.
