Tragic Incident: Child Dies After Being Run Over by Water Tanker

A sad accident happened in Pune on Saturday evening when a two-year-old child was hit by a water tanker. The tanker was backing up after delivering water at the Sumeru Vasant Pushpa Society around 7:30 pm. This tragic event raises important questions about the safety of children and the responsibilities of drivers in places where many people live.

The driver of the tanker, Bisulal alias Sunny Pyarelal Baraskar, didn’t listen when the society’s watchman and the child’s grandmother tried to warn him that the child was behind the vehicle. Because he didn’t pay attention, the accident occurred, which has made many people think about how to keep everyone safe in residential areas.

After the accident, Baraskar ran away instead of helping, which shows he didn’t care about his duties. Police caught him later that evening to ensure he faced the law for what happened. He’s been charged with serious offenses under Indian law.

This incident has made people think about improving safety rules in residential societies, especially when large vehicles are involved. It’s important to have safe areas for vehicles to reverse, use spotters to guide drivers, and better communication between service workers and security staff.

Local leaders and community groups are discussing new rules for vehicles in residential areas. These rules might include better training for drivers, adding cameras to trucks, and clear guidelines for water delivery.

This sad event reminds us that everyone must be careful and follow safety rules, especially around children. It’s a shared responsibility among service providers, community leaders, and residents to keep everyone safe.
