Tanisha Bhise Death Case: Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital Fined ₹10 Lakh

Tanisha Bhise, a 37-year-old mom, died on March 31 after giving birth to twins at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune. This sad event made the Maharashtra government take strict action against the hospital because doctors didn’t take proper care of her.

The hospital asked for ₹10 lakh payment before treating Tanisha, which was wrong. Because of this delay in treatment, she lost her life, leaving her newborn twins without a mother.

The Maharashtra government acted quickly and called this a big mistake by the hospital. They made the hospital pay ₹10 lakh as punishment. The government also decided to help Tanisha’s twin daughters by putting ₹5 lakh each in their bank accounts for their future.

When officials checked the hospital, they found many rules were broken. The hospital didn’t follow important medical rules that all hospitals must follow. The police were asked to investigate the case properly.

After this incident, Dr. Sushrut Ghaisas, who was treating Tanisha, left his job at the hospital. The Pune Municipal Corporation was asked to take action against the hospital and the doctors involved.

This case has made everyone think about how hospitals shouldn’t ask for money before treating emergency patients. The government’s actions have shown that hospitals must care for patients first and follow all rules properly. This case will help make sure other hospitals in Maharashtra treat patients better and don’t focus only on money.

The tragic incident has become one of the most significant Pune crime cases highlighting medical negligence in recent times.
