The Pune Metro is growing bigger! Work has started on a new route from Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) to Bhakti-Shakti Chowk. The Maha-Metro team has already put up special equipment and fixed four out of twelve parts between two big pillars numbered 453 and 454.
This new metro line will have four stations where trains will stop. These stations will be at Chinchwad, Akurdi, Nigdi, and Bhakti-Shakti. These places were chosen carefully so that people living nearby can easily reach the metro. Though Maha-Metro hasn’t told exactly when the whole route will be ready, they’re working fast, especially on the part from PCMC to Nigdi.
This new metro line is very important for Pune city. Maha-Metro is taking care of everything – from planning to building. This project is part of Maharashtra government’s big plan to make travel easier for people in cities. Many other cities in India are also building metros, like the new water metro in Mangaluru city.
The workers are doing a good job on the construction site. They’ve already put up one-third of the parts between the two pillars. They’re using special machines called segment-launching girders to lift and fix heavy parts of the metro track. This shows how carefully and safely they’re building the metro.
This new metro line will help solve many problems in Pimpri-Chinchwad area. Right now, there’s too much traffic on roads, and people spend a lot of time traveling. When the metro starts running, people can reach their offices, schools, and markets much faster than before.
The new metro line is very important for Pune’s future. As more and more people are moving to Pune for jobs and studies, they need good ways to travel. This metro will help people save time and money on travel. It will also be good for the environment as fewer people will use cars and buses. This shows how Pune is becoming a modern city with good facilities for its people. While transportation remains a key focus, the city continues to make headlines with its thriving Pune sports scene that keeps residents engaged in various athletic activities.
