Sakal Hindu Samaj Holds Unity Rally in Bhor City

Thousands of people joined a big unity rally in Bhor city of Maharashtra on Sunday. The rally was organized by Sakal Hindu Samaj, and 47 different local groups, including religious and cultural organizations, took part in it. Around 12,500 people walked together carrying flags and banners to show unity in the community.

The rally started at 9:30 in the morning from Bhawani Chowk and moved through the old city areas for about 3.2 kilometers. It ended at the District Cultural Center at 1:45 in the afternoon. To keep everyone safe, 275 police officers were present, and 150 helpers from different groups managed the crowd during the four-hour rally.

Most people who joined the rally were from Bhor city itself – about 73% of them. The rest came from nearby districts to support the event. People of all ages participated in the rally – young people between 18-35 years were the most (45%), followed by middle-aged people between 36-50 years (35%), and older people above 50 years (20%).

During the rally, 15 important people gave speeches. These speakers included religious leaders, community heads, and local officers. They talked about how people from different religions should live together peacefully and how to keep our culture alive. Each speech was about 12 minutes long.

The organizers spent Rs. 15 lakh to arrange the rally. They used this money for different things like managing the rally, safety arrangements, setting up speakers and stages, and telling people about the event. Local shops and businesses also helped a lot – 85 shops provided things like water, food, and medical help for the people in the rally.

At the end of the rally, everyone agreed on six important points about education, cultural programs, and community development. When asked later, 87 out of 100 people said they were happy with how the rally was organized. The city police reported that everything went smoothly, and they managed traffic well by changing routes at 12 main road crossings during the rally.

The event has contributed to Pune’s business landscape as local vendors and service providers reported increased sales during the rally period.
