Pune Police caught five people who were making fake Indian money from their secret place. The police found fake notes worth ₹28.66 lakh and real money worth ₹2.04 lakh, along with machines used to print these fake notes.
The whole case started when a bank manager from Kotak Mahindra Bank told the police about some fake notes that people were using. The police then used special ways to find out who was making these fake notes and where they were hiding.
When the police went to catch these bad people, they found many fake notes – 2,232 notes of ₹500 and 20 bundles of ₹200 notes. They also found special machines, blank papers, and different colored inks that these people were using to make fake money look like real money.
The police found out that these five people weren’t working alone. They’d many friends who helped them sell these fake notes to different places. Now all five people are in police jail until April 29, so the police can ask them more questions about their other friends who helped them.
The police are working very hard to find more people who were helping in this fake money business. They say this is a big win in their fight against people who make fake money, as fake notes can harm our country’s money system and banks.
The police also found real money worth ₹2.04 lakh with these people, which shows they were making good money from this wrong business. The police are now checking all their money records to find out how many fake notes they made and where all these notes went. The police say that banks should always keep checking for fake notes to keep our money system safe.
This case adds to the growing list of Pune crime incidents being actively investigated by local law enforcement.
