64 Kg Ganja Worth Over ₹13 Lakh Seized in Pune, Three Arrested in Raids

Police in Pune have caught three people who were trying to sell ganja (marijuana) in the city. The police found 64 kg of ganja, which is worth more than ₹13 lakh in the market. This is a big success for Pune’s Anti-Narcotics Cell, which works to stop drug selling in the city.

In the first case, police caught two men named Pappu Chakradhar Devri and Chandan Subhash Kunwar. They were bringing 30 kg of ganja from Odisha to Pune. The ganja they were carrying was worth about ₹6.24 lakh. The police found out about their plan through secret information and caught them before they could sell the drugs.

The third person, Rakesh Rupsing Pawara, was caught in a different operation. He’d 34 kg of ganja worth ₹7.04 lakh. He was bringing the drugs from Dhule to Pune. This shows that drug sellers use different routes to bring drugs into the city.

The police have filed FIRs (First Information Reports) at two police stations – Bund Garden and Khadak. All three people who were caught will be punished under the NDPS Act, which is a law made to stop drug selling in India. The police say that the drugs they caught could have been sold to thousands of people in Pune.

The police worked very smartly in this case. Instead of just catching people who buy drugs, they caught the people who bring large amounts of drugs into the city. This helps stop the problem at its root. The police used special teams and proper planning to catch these drug sellers.

The police are now asking these three people many questions to find out more about other people who sell drugs. They want to know how the drugs are brought into the city and who else is involved in selling them. This will help the police catch more drug sellers in the future and make Pune safer for everyone.

Latest Pune crime updates reveal that similar drug busts have become increasingly common in the city’s ongoing fight against narcotics.
