Mahabaleshwar Hosts 3-Day Tourism Festival With Adventure and Culture

The Mahabaleshwar Tourism Festival (Mahaparyatan Mahotsav) is coming to the beautiful hill station from May 2 to 4, 2025. This three-day state-level festival will bring lots of fun activities, cultural shows, and special programs for visitors of all ages. The organizers have worked hard to plan this big event, which will show off the area’s pretty views and important history.

Visitors can enjoy amazing views of Mahabaleshwar from the sky through hot air balloon rides. These rides will let people see the beautiful Sahyadri mountains and green valleys from high above. For those who want even more excitement, helicopter rides are also available. These flights will take visitors several hundred feet up in the air to see the wonderful views of the area.

For people who want to stay overnight, there are special luxury tents available. These tents cost ₹4,000 per night for the basic option, and fancier tents cost more. The tents are very comfortable and have all modern facilities while looking nice among the trees and nature. The festival has made sure there’s enough space for both people who want to stay overnight and those who visit for just one day.

Every evening at 8:00 PM, visitors can watch amazing shows with drones and colorful lights in the sky. These shows will use 75 drones flying together and 12 big light machines on the ground. The shows will tell stories from Maharashtra’s culture using new technology to make them look very special.

Food is a big part of the festival, with most food stalls serving traditional Maharashtra dishes. The cooks will use fresh ingredients from nearby farms and areas. While people enjoy their food, they can watch cultural programs happening on three different stages throughout the festival grounds.

It’s better to book festival tickets early through the festival’s website because very few tickets will be sold at the entry gate. The main entry ticket lets visitors enter the festival, but some special activities need extra payment. This is the biggest tourism event in Mahabaleshwar in the last ten years, bringing together fun activities, cultural shows, and tasty food for everyone to enjoy. The festival is generating significant interest among Pune locals who are eager to experience the hill station’s attractions during this special event.
