Woman Dies in Concrete Mixer Accident in Pune
A very sad accident happened in Pune’s Manjari area on April 4, where a 38-year-old woman died after being crushed by a concrete mixer truck. The woman, Renu Brahmashankar Shivpratap Pandey, was sitting behind someone on a motorcycle near Tupe Corner when this terrible accident took place.
The accident happened when the big concrete mixer truck tried to go past the motorcycle. This made the bike lose balance and fall down. When this happened, the back wheel of the truck went over Renu, causing her death. This shows how dangerous it can be when big trucks and small vehicles share the same road.
After the accident, people quickly took Renu to Sassoon Hospital, but the doctors said she was already dead when she reached there. Renu used to live in Keshavnagar with her family. Her husband, Brahmashankar Shivpratap Pandey, who’s 39 years old, went to Hadapsar Police Station to file a case against the truck driver.
The police from Hadapsar station are now looking into how the accident happened. Sub-Inspector Gandhale is leading the investigation. They’re checking everything about the accident, like how the driver was driving and if the truck was in good condition to be on the road.
This accident has made everyone worry about road safety in Pune, especially in areas like Manjari where there are many construction trucks on the road. It shows that we need better ways to manage traffic and keep people safe, especially when big trucks are moving in areas where there are many bikes and people walking.
The police have started their work to find out who was at fault in this accident. This sad event tells us that we need better rules for big vehicles in the city. It also shows that we need separate lanes for trucks and better safety rules to stop such accidents from happening again. The local officers are now thinking about making new rules to keep everyone safe on the roads.
This incident adds to the growing list of Pune crime news that highlights the need for stricter traffic enforcement in the city.
