Looking for momos in Kalyani Nagar? Here are the places locals actually go to, with address, price and what to order.
The only proper sit-down Himalayan restaurant in this part of Pune, done up like a mountain lodge with prayer flags. It is also the only place here confirmed to serve Newari momos and pork kothey momos, which are pan fried on the base and steamed on top.
Momos sit inside a mixed Middle Eastern, Indo-Chinese and south Indian menu here, which is an odd combination but works. The chilli momos are what reviewers actually order rather than the plain steamed ones.
Open till 4 in the morning, which makes it the latest running momo option in this whole belt. The board is mostly Sichuan style Chinese with schezwan momos alongside, so it doubles as a late dinner stop.
The Kalyani Nagar outlet of the Mad Momos chain, running the same fusion board as the other branches with steamed, fried and tandoori plates plus burgers and fries. Around Rs.350 for two.
Photographs are of momos generally and do not show these specific businesses. Timings and prices change often, so please confirm on Google Maps before you travel.
