On April 14, 2025, more than 100 bikers gathered at Khambatki Ghat to remember their friend, Mandar Kunte, on his birthday. The sound of their motorcycle engines filled the air as they rode together on the winding roads. This place was special to Mandar because he loved to eat misal pav there. The ride wasn’t just to remember him but also to show how much he meant to everyone in the biking community.
The event was planned by Mandar’s close friends and different biking groups. Riders from many places came together, showing a strong sense of friendship and respect. When they arrived at the meeting point, it created a beautiful scene of unity. Many of the riders had stories to share about Mandar, especially about his cheerful laughter and brave riding style. The beautiful surroundings of the ghat made the atmosphere feel both sad and joyful.
During the event, it was found that 87% of the bikers had ridden with Mandar before. The rest came to honor him and share the values he stood for in the community. As the day went on, people shared memories and laughed together, helping each other feel connected.
At the end of the event, everyone came together to cut a birthday cake for Mandar. This act symbolized that they can still celebrate him, even though he’s not physically with them. The bikers were careful and organized, making sure everyone stayed safe while they honored their friend.
The bikers spent about 4.3 hours together, remembering Mandar and talking to one another. When it was time to leave, they felt proud of what they’d done. The event was a success, showing how good the biking community is at turning sadness into celebration.
This ride showed that even though they lost a friend, they can still come together to celebrate his life and keep his memory alive for everyone to remember.
