Two workers from BJ Medical College and Sassoon General Hospital were caught by Maharashtra’s Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in a special operation. They took a bribe of ₹1 lakh from a furniture supplier. The ACB was watching office superintendent Suresh Bonwale and senior assistant Jayant Chaudhary because they were suspected of being involved in corruption.

These officials were asking for money to help pay vendors who were supposed to get paid for their work. They first asked for ₹1.3 lakh but then agreed to take ₹1 lakh, showing that they were used to asking for bribes. This kind of behavior can harm the reputation and trust in the college and hospital.

The furniture supplier did the right thing by reporting the bribe to the ACB. Thanks to this report, the ACB quickly acted and caught the two officials while they were accepting the bribe. This evidence will help the police in the next steps of the case.

Now, the investigation is getting bigger. The police will file a report at Bund Garden police station. This situation shows how important it’s to be careful about corruption in schools and hospitals, as it can affect how well they serve the public.

The arrests show that the Maharashtra government is serious about stopping corruption. This operation also helps to warn others who might think about doing something wrong.

This case reminds us that we need better rules and checks in schools and hospitals, especially when it comes to money. As the investigation continues, it may lead to changes in how payments are handled to stop these bad practices.
