kidnapping on university campus

Two men are in police custody after a girl was kidnapped from Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) campus on Friday evening around 8:30 pm. The kidnapping happened near the Marathi department, where people saw a girl being pushed into a car that quickly drove away.

The university guards caught two young men who were trying to run away from the campus. The police took them to Chatushrungi Police Station for questioning. These two men live in nearby areas of Sangvi and Aundh. The main kidnapper took one person’s bag and phone before running away with the girl.

The police are looking at CCTV cameras from different parts of the campus to find the car and the main kidnapper. They’re also trying to find out if the girl was a student of SPPU and why she was kidnapped.

After this incident, SPPU officials are checking all their security systems. They want to make the campus safer by adding more lights, security guards, and cameras, especially during the evening time when fewer people are on campus.

Students, teachers, and staff members are very worried about safety on campus. The university has promised to put more guards on duty and make the campus safer. The local police will also keep more officers near the university area.

The police want people to tell them if they know anything about this kidnapping. They’ve started a special phone line where people can give information. The university is also helping students by teaching them about safety and providing support services.

This case adds to the growing list of Pune crime news that has raised concerns about student safety in educational institutions.
