Thousands of women will come together in Pune for the first-ever Hirakani Run, a special women’s half marathon happening on Sunday, April 6, 2025. There will be four different race options: 3 km, 5 km, 10 km, and the longer 21 km half marathon. This event is organized by Sai Janseva Pratishthan and aims to help women feel strong and healthy while also supporting children in need.
In this marathon, everyone can choose a distance that suits their fitness level. All runners will get a special package that includes a participation certificate, a finisher’s medal, and a t-shirt. The best runners in each category can win cash prizes. The top prize for the 21 km race is ₹15,000 for the first-place winner.
The race route will go through famous places in Pune like Dandekar Bridge and Sarasbaug, making it a beautiful and safe place to run. The organizers have made sure to keep everyone safe during the event, with water stations and medical help available along the way.
The Hirakani Run isn’t just about running; it’s also about helping others. All the money from registration fees will go to groups that help orphaned and differently-abled children. This way, every runner helps make a difference in the lives of these kids.
Some famous people will be joining the run, which will help spread the word about the marathon and the good cause it supports. The combination of running and giving back to the community makes the Hirakani Run an important event for Pune, promoting fitness while helping those in need.
This exciting event is expected to become a regular part of Pune’s sports calendar, bringing together runners and supporters for a great cause each year.
