Lohegaon XI has won the Jansuraksha Cricket Cup 2025! They played really well at the Symbiosis College Ground in Viman Nagar and took home a trophy and a prize of ₹21,000.
The tournament happened over two days, on March 27 and 28, 2025. Sixteen teams took part, showing great cricket skills and teamwork. The Airport Police Station organized this event to help the community and give local kids a chance to play sports and have fun.
The J Boys Cricket Team from Ramwadi played excellently and finished as the runner-up. They won a cash prize of ₹11,000. The Airport Police Station Cricket Team came in third place and received ₹7,000. This shows how sports can help build good relationships between the police and the community.
Some players also got special awards. Ganesh Ithape was named Best Batsman because he scored a lot of runs. Arvind Thakur got the Best Bowler award for his great bowling. The J Boys Team was recognized as Player of the Series for their strong performance throughout the tournament.
The tournament helped people from the police and the community talk and connect better, especially with young people. Using sports like cricket is a smart way for police to build trust with the people they serve.
