Maharashtra state has found more than 5,000 Pakistani people living in different cities. The most Pakistani people, about 2,458, live in Nagpur city. Many of these people have stayed longer than their allowed time, and 2,088 of them have asked for more time to stay in India.

Among these people, around 1,000 have short-time permission to stay and have been asked to leave India soon. About 4,000 others have long-time permission to stay. Most of these long-time permits are given to Hindu people from Pakistan who now live in Maharashtra.

The state officials are worried because they can’t find 107 Pakistani people who came to Maharashtra but have now disappeared. Nagpur city, which has the most Pakistani people, also has 25 missing people. This has made the police and immigration officers more alert.

In Pune city, there are 114 Pakistani people. Out of these, 80 people can stay by getting their permission renewed every year. But 24 people are staying without proper permission, and one person is in jail. Also, 9 Pakistani people in Pune have gone missing.

The state has found 34 Pakistani people who are staying without proper permission in Maharashtra. This number doesn’t include those who’ve already asked for more time to stay. These people are breaking the rules by staying without proper papers.

The government is now trying to keep better track of foreign people living in Maharashtra. They want to make sure everyone follows the rules about how long they can stay. They’re also trying to be careful with people who want to stay longer, making sure they’ve good reasons for it.

Local authorities in Pune Crime Branch are actively investigating cases related to unauthorized stays and disappearances.
