A big protest was held in Pune’s Mulshi area after someone damaged a statue of Goddess Annapurna at the Nageshwar Temple in Paud village. CCTV cameras showed a 16-year-old Muslim boy making bad gestures at the holy statue, which made many people very angry.
The police quickly took action and arrested two people – Naushad Shaikh (44 years old) and his teenage son who was seen in the CCTV video. The police filed a case against them and started their investigation to find out why they did this wrong thing.
