After a serious murder case at a BPO office in Pune, the National Commission for Women (NCW) found many problems with safety rules and how the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act was being followed. They discovered that many things weren't done properly, which made women less safe at work.

The investigation showed that the office didn't have good security measures. There were no random bag checks, and the cameras weren't working well. The training for employees was also very poor, as many workers didn't know how to stay safe or handle conflicts. Additionally, there was no proper way to write down safety issues or complaints.

The NCW also looked closely at how the office followed the POSH Act, 2013. They found that a financial problem involving the victim had been reported but wasn't recorded or solved. This showed a big failure in the way the office dealt with complaints.

As a result of these findings, the NCW has given important suggestions to make workplaces safer for women. They said that companies should regularly check their security systems and fix any problems they find. They also advised installing better cameras and keeping clear records of any safety issues.

The NCW wants to create stronger committees within companies to handle complaints about harassment. These committees must keep detailed notes of every incident and follow up to ensure they're solved properly.

Lastly, the NCW emphasized the need for better training programs for employees. These programs will teach workers about safety, how to deal with conflicts, and the correct way to report issues. Companies will need to check how effective these programs are and make changes if needed to keep everyone safe.
