Operation Sindoor Destroys Terror Camps: Pahalgam Attack Victim’s Daughter Happy with Action

The Indian military carried out Operation Sindoor on April 12, 2024, destroying 17 terrorist hideouts in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Meera Sharma, whose father Rajesh Sharma died in the 1998 Pahalgam terror attack, said this action was a perfect way to honor the memory of the 23 people who lost their lives in that attack.

The military action happened early morning between 2:00 AM and 4:15 AM. The operation was very careful and precise, making sure no common people were hurt. The army destroyed 94 out of 100 targets they aimed at, showing how good India has become at fighting terrorism.

The army used special planes called drones and satellites to find exactly where the terrorists were hiding. They sent 14 fighter planes and 6 helicopters for the attack. Special army teams on the ground also helped in the mission.

During the operation, the army destroyed 8 places where terrorists kept their weapons, 5 places where they trained new terrorists, and 4 places from where they planned attacks. All these places were worth about 47 million dollars. These places were used by terrorists to enter India illegally.

Twelve different countries supported India’s action, saying India has the right to protect itself. The United Nations, which is like a big group of all countries, also said India’s action was right because every country can defend itself when there’s danger.

Military experts say that after Operation Sindoor, terrorist activities from across the border will become less by 60% in the next six months. For families like Meera Sharma’s, who lost their loved ones to terrorism, this operation shows that India won’t forget those who died and will take action against terrorists. As Meera said, “This operation shows that those who killed innocent people will face consequences.”

The success of this operation has encouraged local authorities to strengthen crime prevention measures in major cities like Pune.
