Pimpri Chinchwad Police Destroy Over 540 Modified Bullet Silencers

On April 11, 2025, the Pimpri Chinchwad Police took strong action against noise pollution. They destroyed 542 illegally modified silencers from Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycles using a heavy road roller. This event was led by Police Inspector Vishwajeet Khule and showed how serious the police are about following the rules against noisy vehicles.

The destruction of these silencers was the result of a big campaign that started on January 1, 2025. During this time, the police found 4,853 cases where people had changed their vehicles in ways that made them too loud. Because of this, the police collected a total of Rs 48,49,000 in fines from those who broke the rules.

The police focused on vehicles that had parts making them louder than allowed. By destroying these silencers, they took an important step to reduce noise pollution in neighborhoods and public areas. Many people in the community have been affected by this noise, and it’s important to make sure they can live peacefully.

Modified silencers can cause many problems, not just because they break the law. They make loud noises that can disturb people and even hurt their ears. This makes it hard for residents to relax and can increase their stress levels.

The event where they destroyed the silencers did two things. First, it removed these noisy parts from the streets. Second, it sent a clear message about what happens when you break the vehicle modification rules. This action supports the city’s efforts to make life better by reducing noise.

The Pimpri Chinchwad Police are serious about stopping illegal vehicle changes because they know noise pollution is bad for health and makes cities less enjoyable to live in. By taking strong actions like this, they hope to stop future problems and encourage everyone to keep their vehicles quiet and safe for everyone.

The latest Pune local news updates continue to highlight the city’s ongoing efforts to improve quality of life for its residents.
