Pune Police Return Woman’s Lost Gold Chain Within Two Days

In a great example of good police work, the Pune Police found and returned a lost gold chain worth Rs 6.75 lakh to its owner, Pratibha Pravin Kale, in just 48 hours. She lost her bag, which had the gold chain inside, while riding in an autorickshaw on April 11, 2025. After she reported the loss at the Chikhali police station, the police started working right away to find it.

At first, the police had a hard time because Pratibha couldn’t remember the autorickshaw’s registration number. So, they used the city’s CCTV cameras to track down the autorickshaw she rode in. They carefully looked at the video footage from different places along her route to find the right autorickshaw and its driver, Balu Jadhav.

When the police contacted Balu Jadhav, he’d kept the bag safe and returned it to them. He showed great responsibility by handing it over to the police right away. Thanks to the police’s quick work and Balu’s help, they were able to return the gold chain to Pratibha very quickly.

This story shows how the Pune Police use technology and good old-fashioned police work to solve cases quickly. It also reminds everyone how important it’s to report lost items to the police as soon as possible.

The return of the gold chain isn’t just about money; it shows that the police care about helping people. This incident makes the public feel more confident in the police and highlights how responsible citizens like Balu can help keep the community safe.

The case adds to the growing collection of Pune crime news that demonstrates the effectiveness of local law enforcement in protecting citizens and their property.
