Pune Police Seize Mephedrone Worth Rs 10.6 Lakh

Pune Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell 2 caught a 21-year-old man named Bajranglal Khilleri on April 16, 2025. They found 53 grams of a drug called mephedrone, which is worth about Rs 10.6 lakh. They also seized a motorcycle worth Rs 1.8 lakh, making the total value of the items Rs 12.9 lakh.

This important operation was led by Police Inspector Sudarshan Gaikwad. He got help from Additional Commissioner of Police Shailesh Balkawade. The police were able to catch the man because Police Constable Yuvraj Kamble provided useful information during their regular patrols.

Mephedrone is a strong drug that can be very harmful and addictive. The police’s quick actions show that they’re working hard to stop drug problems in Pune. By catching this man and taking away such a large amount of drugs, they’re helping to keep the community safe and stopping many doses from reaching people who might misuse them.

The success of this operation shows that the police are serious about fighting against drugs. They’re using smart ways to find and stop drug dealers. The motorcycle also shows that drug traffickers often use their own vehicles to avoid getting caught.

This event shows how drug trafficking is changing in Pune. The police are adjusting their strategies to deal with these new challenges. By working together from the constables to the senior officers, they’re taking a strong approach to fight against drug-related issues.

This case adds to the growing collection of Pune crime news that demonstrates the city’s commitment to combating illegal drug trade.
