Pune Weather Alert: IMD Warns of Rain and Thunderstorms

Pune is facing very hot weather with temperature reaching 38.2°C on Monday, which is the highest in 128 years. The weather office (IMD) has given a warning for the next two days about changes in weather. They say there will be rain even though it’s not the rainy season, along with thunderstorms and strong winds in many parts of the city.

The weather people say that strong winds will blow at a speed of 40-50 kilometers per hour. There will also be dark clouds in the sky with thunder and lightning. This bad weather might cause problems with electricity supply, road travel, and mobile networks in different parts of Pune like Shivajinagar, Pashan, Rajgurunagar, Koregaon, Hadapsar, and NDA areas.

During this time, you should be very careful. Keep all loose things like flower pots, clothes, or papers tied up properly so they don’t fly away in the strong wind. Also, make sure water can flow easily through drains near your house. The weather office says you shouldn’t go outside when there’s heavy storm, especially in areas where water collects on roads or near electric poles.

This weather is very different from the very hot days we’d earlier this month. While the rain might make the weather cooler, it can also create new problems. The weather office says this kind of changing weather might continue for the next two days, and some areas in Pune might face more problems than others.

You should keep checking weather news on TV or mobile phones because the weather can change quickly. The weather office has special machines that help them tell us about coming bad weather, so we can stay safe. City officials are asking everyone to follow safety rules, like staying inside the house during thunder and lightning and not touching electrical things at that time.

The strong winds and rain together can make it difficult for people in Pune to go about their daily work. Everyone needs to be extra careful during this time – whether they’re going to school, office, or market. Emergency teams like police and ambulance are also ready to help if needed. Residents are advised to stay updated on Pune crime news for any weather-related incidents or emergencies in their areas.
