On April 1, 2025, two young boys named Varun Pradeep Jagtap (9 years old) and Sharv Raj Mahendra Jagtap (8 years old) were playing outside in Saswad when they found a gold necklace. This necklace weighed 52 grams and was valued at ₹4.5 lakh. Instead of keeping it for themselves, the boys showed great honesty and took it to the local police station.

The boys’ action shows the good values their family taught them. They knew it was important to return the necklace to the police instead of taking it home. This teaches us about being responsible citizens and doing the right thing, even when it’s hard.

When the police, led by Assistant Inspector Vaibhav Sonawane and Sub-Inspector Ganesh Patil, heard about the necklace, they started looking for its owner. They followed all the right steps to find out who it belonged to, making sure to write down everything about how the necklace was found.

After some investigation, they discovered that Megha Ramesh Gaikwad lost the necklace during a wedding photoshoot near Sangameshwar Temple. The police checked her documents to confirm that she was the real owner of the necklace.

Once they confirmed that it belonged to her, the police returned the gold necklace to Megha Gaikwad. She was very thankful to the Jagtap boys for their honesty and to the police for their quick work in solving the case.

This story shows how important it’s to be honest and responsible. The Jagtap boys set a great example for everyone, reminding us that doing the right thing is always valuable, no matter how much something is worth.
