Two MBA students had a terrible accident in Pune at about 3:15 AM on April 3, 2025. Sarvesh Gopal Patil, who was 20 years old, and Pushkar Sudhakar Choudhary, who was 19, were riding a fast motorcycle after having dinner. They crashed into the railings of a flyover, which caused serious injuries that sadly led to their deaths.
This accident has raised big questions about safety and wearing helmets among young motorcyclists in Pune. The police found that there were no helmets at the crash site, but they believe that at least one helmet was with the students before the accident. Senior Inspector Sandeep Deshmane, who’s in charge of the investigation, is trying to find the missing helmet to understand what happened.
Witnesses said the motorcycle skidded about 10 meters before stopping. Sarvesh was declared dead as soon as he arrived at the hospital. Pushkar survived the crash at first but sadly died from his injuries a few days later. The boys were coming back home to Pimple Nilakh after getting a late-night snack at Nal Stop Chowk when the accident happened.
The police are looking into everything that might’ve caused the crash. They’re checking traffic camera videos, talking to more witnesses, and looking at the motorcycle to find out what went wrong.
This sad event reminds everyone how important it’s to follow traffic rules and wear helmets, especially at night when it can be harder to see. Because of this accident, local authorities want to work harder to make sure young riders are safe by enforcing rules and creating awareness campaigns.
The investigation is still going on as officials hope to prevent similar accidents in the future with better safety measures and education.
