On January 14, 2024, three women at Eclipse Pub in Yerawada faced unwanted touching and rude comments. This happened between 10:30 PM and 11:45 PM. The police received reports from people who saw what happened.

The police arrested two men, Rajesh Kumar (32) and Santosh Patil (28), for sexual harassment. They're from Laxmi Nagar in Yerawada. The police found them using security camera footage and statements from 12 people who were at the pub.

The women, aged between 24 and 27, were helped quickly by the pub's security staff. The staff took them to safety and called the police within 8 minutes of the first complaint.

The Victim Support Unit from the Yerawada Police Station is helping the women with counseling and legal advice, while also keeping their identities safe.

If found guilty, the two men could go to jail for up to three years or pay fines, or both. This case is the fourth report of sexual harassment in local entertainment places in 2024. This shows a 15% increase compared to last year.

Eclipse Pub has added more security cameras and increased the number of security staff from 4 to 6 during busy times. They're also giving training to their employees on how to respond quickly to harassment.

The Pune Hospitality Association is starting a city-wide campaign to keep customers safe at 47 pubs and nightclubs. Participating places will show emergency contact numbers and use a special code-word system for help.

The first court hearing for the case is on January 30, 2024. The men are still in police custody and will have their bail hearings soon.
