Balewadi is in north-west Pune next to Baner, best known for the Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex that hosted the Commonwealth Youth Games. The Balewadi High Street stretch has become one of the citys busiest dining and shopping strips.

A chowpatty style counter opposite Moze College, so the crowd is mostly students. Momos share the board with a full Chinese menu and kebabs, and the noodles get named as often as the momos. Two people eat for about Rs.250.

Ice Cream in Balewadi
Huber and Holly is known for its thick, dense ice cream and the loaded shakes and sundaes built on it. The portions are large by design, and the counters are bright and made for sitting a while rather than grabbing and going.
